Abstract (en)

[origin: WO0040311A1] The invention relations to snowboard-type devices for moving on snow, especially for use on snow or other glidable media. The aim of the invention is to provide a device which allows the user to directly influence substantially all changes of direction. To this end, two glide bodies (1, 2) are linked by way of a connecting device (26, 27) in such a manner that said two glide bodies (1, 2) can be moved in relation to one another. The adjustable joint element (30) which is part of the connecting device (26, 27) is provided with a righting moment which readjusts the glide bodies (1, 2) to their original position in the longitudinal direction. The movable parts of said joint element can be variably adjusted so that the rigidity of the joints can be optimally adapted to the respective glide situations. In an extreme case, the connecting device (26, 27) establishes a rigid connection between the glide bodies (1, 2). The invention facilitates an integration of binding-type devices (28, 29) into the connecting device (26, 27) and a common mounting on the glide bodies (1, 2).
