[origin: WO0136166A1] The invention relates to a device for longitudinally separating webs of material comprising a horizontal blade carrying rail (1) on which a number of cutting devices (2) can be adjacently arranged at adjustable intervals. Each cutting device comprises a support body (3) on which a circular knife (5) is mounted. The inventive device is also equipped with guide strip pairs (8, 9, 10) which run parallel to one another, which are arranged on the blade carrying rail (1), and on which the cutting devices (2) are guided in a manner that permits them to be fixed at various positions. Two guide strip pairs (8, 9) extend in a first guide plane (12) and at least one additional guide strip pair (10) extends in a second guide plane (13) that is parallel to and located at a distance from the first guide plane.
