Abstract (en)

[origin: WO0040496A1] A display and call arrangement in a passenger conveyance system comprises means for the entry of passenger conveyance calls and display of call information so that the destination can be given using a portable memory card before the start of the journey, from which the information required for the transmission of call data can be transferred to the control system of the passenger conveyance system by means of a reader device, and the destination can be transmitted to the control system of each passenger conveyance means along the route. In addition, the invention concerns a method for routing a person in a passenger conveyance system such as an elevator, escalator or moving sidewalk system or a combination of these, so that the system identifies the person and defines for him/her an optimal route to the destination.
