[origin: EP1142516A2] The shelf system for storing small articles, e.g. medicines in a chemist's shop, has horizontal or sloping shelves (3) mounted between vertical side supports (1). The system is stabilised by top and bottom supports (5) into which they are inserted stepwise. Alternatively columns of shelves are arranged side by side and one above the other to stabilise the system.
