Abstract (en)
The folding road sign includes a vertical element (3) and a base plate with hinges for two feet (1a,1b) which are able to fold up flat against the vertical element, or fold down horizontally to provide a large base area. The feet are held in position w.r.t. the vertical element by folding struts (6,7) which are hinged (6a,7a) to both sections. The folding road sign includes a vertical element (3) to which a base plate (2) is attached at right angles. The base plate provides hinges for two feet (1a,1b) which are able to fold up flat against the vertical element, or fold down horizontally to provide a large base area. The feet are held in position w.r.t. the vertical element by folding struts (6,7) which are hinged (6a,7a) to both sections. The folding struts may be kept in their straight positions by sliding sleeves (9) which fit over the central joint in the strut in this outstretched position. The vertical element (3) provides a support (4) for a sign (P) such as a hazard warning triangle.

Le dispositif support repliable pour panneau de signalisation comprenant un piétement au sol en deux parties articulées (1) par rapport à un élément vertical (3) présentant des agencements pour la fixation du panneau de signalisation en tant que tel (P), est remarquable en ce que : l'élément vertical (3) présente une semelle d'appui au sol (2) présentant des agencements pour le montage, à libre articulation, de chacune des parties du piétement (1) ; l'élément vertical (3) est relié à chacune des parties du piétement (1) par un système de biellettes articulées (6 - 7) aptes à permettre de replier lesdites parties (1) contre ledit élément (3) et dans une position approximativement verticale ; le système de biellettes articulées (6) et (7) coopère avec un moyen (9) apte à assurer leur blocage en position d'alignement correspondant à la position dépliée des parties faisant office de piétement (1) pour éviter tout repliage intempestif. <IMAGE>
