The device (1) has a mechanical spring (3) and a gas spring (4) that is controlled at a given engine rpm range, which are connected in parallel to close the gas shuttle valve (2). The gas spring has a piston (6) that moves to close a chamber (5). The gas spring piston is formed as a rammer (7) with a piston shroud (9) sealingly sliding in the chamber to separate it from the gas spring chamber. The gas spring is supplied from the pump space, which is controlled by a medium, over a controlled overflow channel (10) for the compressed medium during the maximum opening stroke of the gas shuttle valve.

Für eine Schließfeder-Vorrichtung für den Ventiltrieb eines Gaswechselventils (2) einer Brennkraftmaschine, bei der eine mechanische Feder (3) ab einer bestimmten Maschinendrehzahl mit einer parallel geschalteten Gasfeder die Schließbewegung des Gaswechselventils bewirkt, wird zur selbstpumpenden Ausgestaltung bei einfachem Aufbau vorgeschlagen, dass ein Gasfeder-Kolben als ein Tassenstößel (6) gestaltet ist mit einem in einem von einer Gasfeder-Kammer (4) gesonderten Raum gleitbeweglich dicht geführten Kolbenhemd als Pumpenkolben einer selbstpumpenden Gasfeder, der aus dem mit einem Medium gesteuert versorgbaren Pumpenraum über einen gesteuert zuschaltbaren Überströmkanal (10) das komprimierte Medium bei im wesentlichen maximalen Öffnungshub des Gaswechselventils zugeführt ist. <IMAGE>
