Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1143127A1] The engine consists of a cylinder (1) containing a reciprocating piston (2) and a mechanism to vary the volume of the cylinder according to operating conditions, comprising a two-arm lever (4) with its arms at an angle of 100 - 130 degrees to one another. The lever is pivoted to the engine crankshaft (15) and connected at one end to the piston rod (3) and at the other to a balance arm (7) linked by a regulator (8) to an actuator (20).
