[origin: EP1143137A2] The control unit has a control chamber (3) filled with fuel, that acts hydraulically on the nozzle needle (1) and that has an intake (4) and an outlet (5) with a control valve in the outlet and an intake choke (ZD) with a variable flow resistance in the intake. The choke flow resistance is greater with the control valve open than when it is closed.
