[origin: WO0102056A2] The invention concerns a reversible and integrated complex system for controlling fires in tunnels, by continuous water or foam spraying ramps (8), supplied by sections from a wet stand pipe (5), comprising a priority operating mode triggered instantly by the user, and an automatic operating mode. The inventive device provides users with instant protection on the walkway (12), sheltered by a continuous longitudinal hood (11), in a clear atmosphere, facilitating the use of extinguishers. Articulated and retractable sheaths (12) enable to supply the vehicles with fresh air. The inventive system is particularly designed for controlling fire risks, and for decontamination, in long road and railway tunnels.
