Abstract (en)

[origin: FR2799690A1] Printed documents arriving at a first reception zone (17) are directed onto one of two feed paths as a function of their type. A switching mechanism (33) selects the path to be taken by the documents. The second feed path (36-39,41,42,45,52,54) has an envelope aligning mechanism (41,42,43) which includes a narrow well (41,42), in which the envelopes fall, fitted with a collapsible stop (43) in front of an envelope arresting mechanism (44,51) . A first document reception zone (17) is aligned at the output (13) of the printed documents, a second reception zone for window envelopes (18) is fed with envelopes, a sheet output zone (19) is aligned at the input of envelope machine and an envelope output zone is aligned at the input (4) of the envelope machine (3). A first feed system (23-28,31,32) connects the zone (17) to the zone (19) and a second feed system (36-39,41,42,45,52,54) connects the zone (17) to an envelope output zone (20). A third feed system (82,53,52,54) connects the second zone (18) to the zone (20). A controlled switching mechanism (33) is fitted to an input section common to both the first (23-28,31,32) and second (36-39,41,42,45,52,54) feed systems so as to select the feed path as a function of the type of printed document arriving in the first reception zone (17).
