[origin: WO0035903A2] The invention relates to thiochromanoyl cyclohexenone derivatives of formula (I), wherein the variables have the following meanings: A is an optionally substituted, saturated or unsaturated alkyl chain; R<1> is cyano, rhodano, nitro, OR<4>, SR<5>, SOR<6>, SO2R<6>, ONR<6>NR<7>, ON=CR<6>R<8>, NR<9>R<10>, P(O)R<11>R<12>, P(S)R<11>R<12>, CO2R<6>, optionally substituted phenyl or heterocyclyl; R<2> is alkyl, alkyl halide, alkoxy or halogenalkoxy; R<3> is hydrogen, alkyl or halogen; X is oxygen, sulphur, S=O, S(=O)2, CR<13>R<14>, C=O or C=NR<15>; m is 0, 1 or 2; n is 0, 1, 2, 3 or 4; R<16> is substituted (3-oxo-1-cyclohexen-2-yl)-carbonyl or substituted (1,3-dioxo-2-cyclohexyl)-methylidene; and to their agriculturally useful salts.
