[origin: DE19956021C1] A solar panel, comprises a transparent panel (10) with a solar cell unit (18) containing crystalline solar cells. Connectors (22) link these to a collector electrode (14). This consists of a coating applied either directly to the panel or to an intermediate coating (12) and is in contact with the connectors on the side which is turned away from the panel An Independent claim is included for a method for producing the panel comprising; (a) forming a collector electrode on a transparent panel by applying a hot melt adhesive layer (16) to an area which includes the electrode; (b) mounting a solar cell unit on the adhesive-coated area; (c) fitting connectors to the electrode through the gaps in the adhesive coating and connecting it to the cell unit; (d) applying a second coating of adhesive (26) over the cell unit; and (e) laminating the device.
