[origin: EP1146484A1] The arrangement has a connection unit connected to a server in a service center with data communications arrangements for network connectivity. The server is operated to access a database holding characteristics of various clients. The server can select a message for transfer to a terminal and at least one data file from one of the sources can be switched through to the terminal depending on the stored characteristics of the terminal. The arrangement has a connection unit (6) connected to a server (10) in a service center (20) with a number of data communications arrangements (15,17-19) providing network (8,9) connectivity. The server is operated to access a database (14). The characteristics of the various clients are stored in the database and the server can select a message for transfer to a terminal (21-23) and at least one data file from one of the sources (1-3...11-13) can be switched through to the terminal depending on the stored characteristics of the terminal. Independent claims are also included for the following: a method of providing a message when loading service data for a terminal.
