Abstract (en)

[origin: WO0043624A1] The invention relates to a locking device (5) for the overlapped wing of two-wing windows, doors or such like, which do not have central posts. Said device comprises one or two adjustable coupling pins (11a) for a driving bar (9) which can be adjusted in opposite directions and are guided in at least one elongated recess (10) of an overlap rail (8). The device also comprises a one-armed actuating lever (6). The pivot pin (12) of the actuating lever (6) is connected to a coupling pin (11a) and the other coupling pin (11b) cooperates with a control rod (7) which is joined to the actuating lever (6) in an articulated manner at a distance from the pivot pin (12) of the actuating lever. In the position congruent with the overlap rail (8) the actuating lever (6) is secured against swiveling. The actuating lever (6) can be moved perpendicular to the rabbeted surface (13) of the window wing (4) so that the anti-swivel mechanism is released. By means of an energy storing device (15) the actuating lever (6) automatically moves from the congruent position, i.e. away from the rabbeted surface (13) of the window wing (4), into an area where it can be moved freely.
