[origin: WO0131195A1] The invention concerns a starter (10) for internal combustion engine, comprising an electromagnetic actuator (14) and an electric motor (16) with parallel axes and fixed on the starter (10) frame including at least a starter nose (12),and comprising an actuating lever (40) controlling the axial movements of the starter pinion (36) which is mounted pivoting about an axis (A3) substantially perpendicular to the axes of the motor (14) and of the electromagnetic actuator (14) and whereof each of the transverse ends is mounted pivoting in a two-part bearing comprising a first part (68) borne by the starter nose (12) and a second matching part (80) formed in a support part (82) of the actuating lever (40) connected to the casings of the motor (14) and/or of the electromagnetic actuator (14). The invention is characterised in that the actuating lever (40) support part (82) comprises a transverse annular ring (100) which co-operates with a matching front part of the electromagnetic actuator.
