Abstract (en)

[origin: EP1147805A1] The disperse a paper fiber material is prepared with water, and compressed into a high consistency material (S2) with coarse fragments, to be fed into the working zone of a rotating roller (1) fitted with sticks (2) before dispersion. They act with static peripheral beating units (3), to loosen and homogenize the high consistency paper fiber material. An Independent claim is also included for a paper fiber dispersion assembly with a distribution stage (9) having at least one rotating roller fitted with sticks. It has a number of peripheral beating units projecting inwards from the housing wall, to give an axial gap between them and the rotating sticks of 5-50 mm.
