The method for assembling and transporting folded printed material (3, 7) astride a conveyor (6) fitted with holders (5) comprises holding one side of the folded material away from the holder using a mounting strip (15). This is then moved downwards to fit the material astride the conveyor. An Independent claim is included for a device for carrying out the method.
