[origin: EP1148197A2] A hinge for a glass lid (5) has a first hinge part (1) for fastening on a body (6) and a second hinge part connected with it in pivoting fashion for the fastening of a glass lid (5). The second hinge part has a sufficiently large contact surface for the glass lid. There are one or more connecting elements (8), especially screws or rivets, to connect the second hinge part with the glass lid. There are one or more support plates (9) between the fastening elements and the glass lid. The second hinge part is also connected with the glass lid by gluing, can be or is joined by clamping.
