An electrothermally-ignited cartridge with a difficultly-ignitable main powder propellant charge (4) has tubes (14-16) of an optically transparent second charge running axially through charge (4) and surrounding electrically conductive wires (11-13). A cartridge (1) with electrothermal ignition has: (i) a casing (5) at least partly filled with a first powder propellant charge (4) and fitted with a base (6); (ii) a high-voltage electrode (9) is fitted to the base (6); (ii) an electrode (9) connected inside casing (5) to electrical conducting wires (11-13) running axially through the powder charge (4) to a contact (18) at the far end of casing (5); (iii) wires (11-13) running at least in part through tubes (14-16) consisting of a second powder charge; and (iv) the second powder charge optically transparent.

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Patrone (1) mit elektrothermischer Anzündvorrichtung, wobei in einer mit erstem Treibladungspulver gefüllten Hülse (5) spezielle sich axial durch das Treibladungspulver (4) erstreckende Anzündkanäle vorgesehen sind, die im wesentlichen jeweils aus einem elektrischen Draht (11-13) bestehen, der axial durch eine aus einem zweiten Treibladungspulver bestehenden Röhre (14-16) hindurchgeführt ist. Um zu erreichen, daß auch Patronen (1) mit schwer anzündbarem ersten Treibladungspulver (4) schnell und sicher anzündbar sind und darüberhinaus ein möglichst geringer Bedarf an elektrischer Energie benötigt wird, schlägt die Erfindung vor, Treibladungspulver-Röhren zu verwenden, die aus einem optisch transparenten Treibladungspulver bestehen. <IMAGE>
