Abstract (en)

[origin: WO0138154A1] The invention relates to an idler wheel axle (1) with individually mounted wheels (10) for chassis of rail vehicles, comprising a wheel support frame (8) which encompasses the wheels (10) on the outside with side support limbs (12), each wheel (10) being rotationally mounted on the inside of the corresponding supporting limb (12) with a wheel mounting (32), on an axle stub (36) of the supporting limb (12), and each wheel (10) being connected to a shaft (16) on its inner side in such a way that their torques correspond, this shaft extending outwards through openings (11, 13) of the wheel (10) and the supporting limb (12). The wheel mounting (32) consists of two partial bearings (34a, 34b). The first partial bearing (34a) is located inside the opening (11) of the wheel (10) between the wheel (10) and the axle stub (36) of the supporting limb (12), while the second partial bearing (34b) is located inside the opening (13) of the supporting limb (12) between the supporting limb and the shaft (16), axially and radially offset from the first partial bearing.
