Abstract (en)

[origin: DE19904200A1] The invention relates to a method for selectively producing 3-alkene acid esters by adding alkyl formates to dienes according to general reaction formula (I), wherein R1 to R6 independently from one another are hydrogen or C1-C30-alkyl, C6-C30-aryl, C7-C30-alkylaryl, C5-C12-cycloalkyl or C1-C21-alkyl-C6-C9-cycloalkyl and R7 is a C1-C30-alkyl radical, in the presence of CO with a partial pressure of at least 10 bar (1 MPa), using a catalyst containing a Pd-compound and one or more compounds of the MCln-type, whereby M has one of the following meanings: an alkaline earth metall ion with n = 2, a metallic ion of the fourth group (IV. subgroup) with n = 4, a metallic ion of the sixth group (VI. subgroup) with n = 3, 5 or 6, in the absence of an organic base containing phosphor or nitrogen.
