Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1149700A2] An ink dosing system for a printing press has the residual ink layer, after the dosing point (13) flattened by an angled scraper (11). The flattened layer passes through the applicator (4) where the layer is made up to the optimum thickness. The applicator can include additional scraper blades to ensure an even ink layer is applied to the transfer roller (2). The scrapers are near tangential to the inking roller and are adjustable.
