Abstract (en)

[origin: EP1150090A2] The device comprises a toothed bar on the hatch cover in which the driven pinion of a gear connected with an operating device engages. Between the driven pinion and the operating device is connected an automatic braking and securing device. As the automatic braking and securing device functions, a clamp roller load torque stop is arranged in the gear housing (1), with an outer ring (2) firmly connected to the housing, in which an inner ring is rotatably located, which is connected with a driven component on the gear. In a clamp gap between the inner and outer rings at least one clamp roller pair is arranged. The clamp rollers are pressed into a clamping position by at least one pressure spring. In this position the driven component is blocked. Each of the clamp rollers is loaded with a total force of at least 45 N. The clamp angle amounts to 5.75 degrees.
