Abstract (en)

[origin: FR2788761A1] Pig slurry (M) is dried by spreading in a thin layer onto a hot surface (10). Water and other volatile materials are thus quickly evaporated (E). The dry material remaining is crushed (3) and scraped (4) off the surface. Formation of a thin layer is helped by a rapid expansion of the slurry into a foam, just before application to the hot surface. An independent claim is given for a machine to carry out the above process.
