[origin: GB2347003A] A display device 2 comprises a prism 6 on a base 4; the prism is arranged so that by altering the viewing angle of the observer without substantially changing the view point, then either one or other of two images are seen. In the example of Figure 2, a clock face (actually in reverse with anti-clockwise hand movement) is positioned in the base so that it adjoins prism face 26, whilst a picture can be slidably mounted on a back plate 8 associated with prism face 24, so that images of either the picture or the clock face (the correct way round) are presented. Alternative shapes of prism are suggested (Figs 5 to 7, not shown) and the instrument can be a thermometer, barometer, calculator, or calendar. A calculator keypad or pen holder can be included in the base, which can carry personal or company logos.
