Abstract (en)
[origin: WO0045508A1] A solid state power amplifier is provided comprising at least one channel having at least one transistor. The amplifier has an output power signal of at least 8 W and is capable of amplifying signals having a frequency bandwidth of at least 200 %. An amplifier module is provided comprising two or more of the amplifiers, the power output signal of the module being the combined power output signals of the amplifiers. An amplifier module is also provided comprising at least two solid state power amplifiers (80, 81) each having at least one channel comprising at least one transistor. Each amplifier has an output of at least 5 W and is capable of amplifying signals having a frequency bandwidth of about or at least 200%. The output power signal of the module is the combined output power signals of the amplifiers.
