The chair has a support frame (1) to which seats are fixed and a support rod (3), which has a clamp unit at its upper end for coupling to a support and conveying cable and rollers. The side ends of the chair have side walls (21) with a locking bar (5) and a cover hood (4) pivoting about horizontal bearing pins (11). The locking bar and the cover hood are pivoted closed against the force of a control spring (6). Sessel für eine Seilbahnanlage mit einem Traggestell (1), an welchem Sitzflächen befestigt sind, mit einer Tragstange, welche an ihrem oberen Ende mit einem Klemmapparat zur Ankupplung an ein Trag- und Förderseil sowie mit Laufrollen ausgebildet ist, mit an seinen beiden seitlichen Enden angeordneten Seitenwangen (21) od.dgl., mit einem Schließbügel (5) und gegebenenfalls mit einer Abdeckhaube (4), welche um in der Betriebslage des Sessels zumindest angenähert horizontal ausgerichtete Achsen (11) verschwenkbar sind, wobei der Schließbügel (5) und bzw. oder die Abdeckhaube (4) entgegen der Wirkung mindestens einer Stellfeder (6) aus den Offenstellungen in die Schließstellungen verschwenkbar sind. Dabei ist mindestens eine der Seitenwangen (21) od.dgl. mit einem Hohlraum (22) ausgebildet, in welchem die mindestens eine Stellfeder (6) angeordnet ist, welche einerseits an das Traggestell (1) und andererseits den Schließbügel (5) und bzw. oder an die Abdeckhaube (4) angelenkt ist (Fig. 3). <IMAGE>
