Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1151905A2] The device has a pair of joints (1) arranged one in the floor area and the other in the roof area of the wagon. The lower joint has bearing lug (3) held by a support (5) fixed to one wagon (4) and a bearing fork (8) held by a support (16) fixed to the other wagon (15). The bearing lug and bearing fork are coupled by a vertical joint bolt (14). The bearing lug is provided with a spherical elastic bearing (7) to compensate for pitching movements between the wagons. The bearing fork has a sloping joint bearing to take up horizontal deflections between the wagons and to align the joint bolt. The supports for the bearing lug and the bearing fork of the upper joint are guided in bearing blocks so that they can slide longitudinally.
