The plastic screw cap (1) for a bottle has a security strip (3) which is attached to it by a series of vertical strips and a collar (9) which fits under a corresponding ring on the bottle. The strip can be torn off along a line of weakness (5). There is a groove (11) in the outer circumference of the strip below the line of weakness which reduces its thickness in that area.

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Kunststoff-Verschlußkappe (1), insbesondere Schraubkappe, mit einem einstückig angeformten Garantieband (3), das über eine Mehrzahl von Verbindungsstegen (15a, 15b, 19) mit der Verschlußkappe verbunden und dazu bestimmt ist, beim erstmaligen Öffnen eines mit der Verschlußkappe verschlossenen Behälters mindestens abschnittsweise abgerissen und zerstört zu werden, wobei das Garantieband längs seines Innenumfangs einen Ringwulst (9) zum Eingriff hinter einen korrespondierenden Vorsprung an dem Behälterrand und an seinem Umfang wenigstens eine Garantieband-Sollbruchstelle (5) hat und im Bereich der Garantieband-Sollbruchstelle bzw. -Sollbruchstellen an seinem Außenumfang eine nicht durch die gesamte Wandungsstärke durchgehende Ausnehmung (11) aufweist, derart, daß der Materialquerschnitt dort wesentlich reduziert ist. <IMAGE>
