Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1151946A2] The method for winding a paper web (7) which passes over a contact roller (2) on to a reel (1) with a pressure roller (9) in contact with its surface comprises cutting the web when the reel reaches the required size. A band of adhesive is applied to the reel near the pressure roller and it is ejected. A new winding core is mounted, the pressure roller is applied to it, a new band of adhesive is applied and the cut end of the web stuck to the core.
