Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1151947A2] The machine for winding narrower paper webs cut from a broad web (7) on to reels (5) has a contact roller (2), against which the winding reel rests, a cutter (11) which splits the web longitudinally and a threading section which feeds the cut web over the contact roller. This forms part of a path through the machine leading to a pulper inlet (16) and which contains a transverse cutter. A pressure roller (14) forms a nip (15) with the contact roller, which contains a vacuum system, and feeds cut web to a reeling position. An Independent claim is included for a method for winding narrower paper webs cut from a broad web.
