Abstract (en)
The fireplace comprises two lateral jambs (20) located between the fireplace (5) and the lateral decorative pillars (2). The jambs rest on the hearth (4) and support the horizontal headband (6) made in a self-supporting, thermally insulating and incombustible material. The jambs form with the hearth, the rear wall, the headband and the convection chamber (14), a thermally insulated enclosure in which the hearth is inserted and forms with it a closed heating chamber separated from the decorative elements.

La présente invention concerne une nouvelle conception de cheminée d'appartement qui permet d'éliminer les risques de détérioration ou d'incendie des éléments décoratifs de la cheminée, tout en assurant une circulation optimale de l'air chaud, ainsi qu'une construction simple et économique. Cette cheminée est caractérisée en ce qu'elle comporte deux jambages latéraux (20) disposés entre le foyer (5) et les piliers latéraux décoratifs (2), ces jambages (20) reposant sur la sole (4), supportant ledit bandeau horizontal (6), réalisés dans un matériau auto portant, thermiquement isolant et incombustible et agencés pour former avec la sole (4), la cloison arrière (3), le bandeau horizontal (6) et la chambre de convection (14), une enceinte isolée (22) thermiquement dans laquelle s'insère ledit foyer (5) et forme avec lui une chambre de chauffe (22') fermée et séparée des éléments décoratifs de ladite cheminée (1) à savoir au moins les piliers (2) et la hotte (7). Cette construction particulière permet d'isoler thermiquement complètement les éléments techniques de la cheminée de ses éléments décoratifs.
