[origin: WO0047852A1] The invention relates to a hinge with a catch, wherein two hinge elements are pivoted relative to one another by way of a hinge pin which serves as the support pin for at least one of the hinge elements. The aim of the invention is to provide a locking element for such hinges which is arranged directly on the hinge, which especially can be retrofitted in hinges of the above kind, and which does not require additional steps of mounting said elements to adjacent walls, ceilings or floors etc. An inventive hinge with a first hinge element which is movably linked with a second hinge element that can be pivoted relative thereto, and a hinge pin as the support pin for one of the hinge elements is characterized in that a locking element is arranged between the hinge elements.
