[origin: EP1153651A1] Profiled layers (1,2) of the static mixer (30) are arranged in an annular space. The channels (14,14',24,24') which extend on each layer from the primary to secondary cross section of the annular space impose an azimuthal velocity component on a fluid mixture flowing through and is substantially large for all equivalent channels.
