Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1153671A2] Tubes are fabricated by drawing over a plug. Before the drawing process, several tubes are welded together flush, and then drawn through a drawing ring. Before welding, the tube ends are calibrated to remove eccentricities, using a formula SO - E greater than SW greater than S1. SO = wall thickness of a tube, SW = wall thickness in tube end/welding section, S1 = tube wall thickness after drawing, E = eccentricity.
