[origin: EP1153677A1] The press has a frame (1) with two sections (4,7) moved relative to each other in a guide frame (2) by an actuating drive (9). One of the sections accommodates the press drive (12). The sections are locked to each other when the frame is in closed position. The guide frame has a turnable toothed gear, which meshes with toothed racks in the frame sections.
