[origin: EP1153715A2] The rotating blade has an outer blade section (21) with cutting edge (20). The outer section is connected to a thermosiphon core section (5). The core has an evaporation zone (14) near the outer blade section and a condensation zone (13) near its central axis. Core and blade sections form a two-phase thermosiphon, which contains water and is at a pressure below atmospheric pressure. To cool the cutting blade, a working fluid is transported by centrifugal force in direction of the blade (1), the fluid is evaporated, the steam is returned to the rotary axis of the cutter device, and the steam is condensed.
