Die Erfindung betrifft eine Wickelmaschine (1) zum kontinuierlichen Aufwickeln einer Materialbahn (4), insbesondere einer Papier- oder Kartonbahn, auf einen Tambour (10) zu einer Wickelrolle (6). Die Wickelmaschine (1) weist eine Tragtrommel (2), die mit der Wickelrolle (6) einen Nip (7) bildet, mindestens eine eine Transporteinrichtung umfassende Lagerung, die den Tambour (10) entlang einer bevorzugterweise horizontalen Führungsbahn führt, und eine im unteren Bereich der Wickelmaschine (6) angebrachte Luftabquetschvorrichtung (12), die an die Wickelrolle (6) anlegbar ist, auf. Erfindungsgemäß ist die Wickelmaschine (1) dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Luftabquetschvorrichtung (12) als ein anlegbares Trägerprofil (13) mit mittels Lagern (14, 14.1) nebeneinander exzentrisch gelagerten Segmentrollen (15, 15.1) ausgebildet ist, wobei sich im Innern des Trägerprofils (13) ein von mindestens einer Druckquelle (16) mit einem Druckmedium (19) gefüllter und von einem Führungsrohr (20) umgebener Schlauch (21) befindet, auf dem die nicht rotierbaren Lagerbuchsen (23, 23.1) der Lager (14, 14.1) mittels jeweils mindestens eines Kraftübertragungselements (24, 24.1) zentral abgestützt sind. <IMAGE>
