Abstract (en)
A slide has a main part carrying needles and an end part with a bore for an elastic cartridge. The cartridge is positioned in the bore by co-operating elements; one element is on the cartridge and the other element is within the bore and extends from the main part of the slide. Independent claims are included for the following: (a) A cartridge for use with the above slide. (b) A stretching device for ribbons of textile fibers. The device includes a chain drive with axle(s) and slide(s) as above. Preferred Features: The cartridge has an elastic member in the form of a split ring with two extending wings that co-operate with retaining wall of the bore. Alternately the cartridge and bore are positioned together by a bayonet fitting.
