Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1154104A1] The key consists of a metal shank (1) with a lengthwise axis (2), and a plastics holder (3) made from two half-shells. The lower half-shell (4) is connected to the shank by a sliding coupling (5) in line with the lengthwise axis, while the upper half-shell (6) is connected rigidly to the lower one and has a lug (7) lying perpendicular to the axis which passes through holes (8,9) in the lower half-shell and shank and locks the sliding joint. The key holder has an inner cavity (E) for an infrared remote control unit.
