[origin: EP1154115A1] The hollow chamber (6) is defined by profiled walls (2, 3, 4,5) and has a compensating wall (8) which separates the compensating chamber (9) away from the foamable part of the hollow chamber. The volume of the compensating chamber in the non-foamed state of the hollow profile is a maximum of 30% of the overall volume of the hollow chamber. The compensating wall is designed so that when the hollow chamber is filled with foam the volume of the compensating chamber is reducible by releasing a compensating volume for the foam (7). The compensating wall is deformable under the pressure of the expanding foam so that the volume of the compensating chamber can be reduced.
