Abstract (en)
The seal consists of an inflatable tube (3) located in a channel (4) in the edge of the door (1) and having a projecting supple and deformable strip (7). The channel has a slightly tapering U-shaped cross-section to accommodate the tube and seal strip and to allow the tube to inflate evenly. The strip is made from an elastomer-type material and is designed to press tightly against the adjacent surfaces of the door frame (2) and sill to prevent water penetration. The seal system can be operated automatically by a sensor and control unit.

Système constitué d'un panneau, tel que porte ou autre, portant un guide (4) dans lequel est enserré un joint d'étanchéité destiné à empêcher la pénétration des eaux dans un quelconque bâtiment. Ce joint d'étanchéité est constitué d'une partie tubulaire gonflable (3) portant sur une génératrice un cordon élastique souple et déformable (7) en matière type élastomère résistant à l'eau. Lorsque ce joint (3) est gonflé par tout système adéquat, ledit cordon élastique (7) est appliqué fermement sur la surface opposée et en épouse ainsi les formes et provoque par là une fermeture très hermétique pratiquement infranchissable par les eaux. <IMAGE>
