[origin: EP1154397A2] The light sign uses a number of light-emitting diodes (D), which are divided between a number of arrays (A), with the diodes within each array supplied from different current sources (N), so that the overall effect of the light sign is not impaired by failure of one current source. All the diodes within the same geometric position in each array can be connected in series.
