[origin: FR2789702A1] To join the ends of a woven belt (10) with an asymmetric weave, to form a continuous blanket belt, the projecting warps (16) at the ends are folded back and rewoven into the wefts, forming loops (27) at a rewoven zone (B). The rewoven zones (B) are in a symmetrical weave. The warps (16) are folded back at the ends of the belt, orthogonal to the plane of the material, and the wefts (17-24) at the folded-back zones are thinner than the wefts (11-15) in the remainder of the woven material. The wefts are on a single level, and the difference between the diameter of the wefts at the folded-back zones and the other wefts is equal to twice the warp thickness. The ends of the belt are structured with large and small loops, which complement each other when they are brought together. They form two channels of alternating large/small loops, for a stem to be inserted through each to lock the ends together by their loops and form a continuous belt. The loops at the ends of the belt can also be locked together by two spirals, with the coils through the channels formed by alternating large/small loops, combined with three or four locking stems. The woven structure of the belt has a flattened section to prevent marking the web, and to increase its permeability.
