[origin: US2002020118A1] A refrigerator door includes an outer paneling and an inner paneling spaced therefrom. The inner and outer panelings are made from a metallic material. Both form a transition point at their edges that receives between them a thermal insulation layer produced by foaming. A thermally insulating couple connects the edge portions of the panelings and substantially thermally uncouples the edge portions from one another.
