[origin: DE19907077A1] The refrigerator for installation into a furniture niche of kitchen fittings along one wall of a room, or similar, has at least one heat-insulating freezing chamber that can be closed off by a door and an apparatus base located below this which serves for the accommodation of apparatus aggregates like compressors, liquefiers, fans or similar. It is force-convected by the fan via at least one admission air opening provided in the door-side front region and a discharge air opening. At least one discharge air opening is provided on the rear region of the apparatus base (28) facing away from the door (26). The discharge air opening sits on a wall of the apparatus base.
