Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1155754A2] Mandrel has balls (2) divided into two longitudinal sections (3), a tip section (3) and a rear longitudinal section (5) as a mandrel base body (6). The whole cross-section of the tip section consists of a high melting material or a high melting material alloy. Preferably the tip section is made from a titanium-molybdenum alloy. The mandrel base body is formed from a high heat-resistant tool steel. A blind hole bore (8) having an inner thread is provided in the mandrel base body.
