[origin: EP1155760A1] Production of a cast part comprises preparing a wax model of the part to be cooled; preparing a polymer foam; immersing the foam and model into a ceramic material so the ceramic material encloses the model and the foam is filled with the ceramic material; drying the ceramic material to form a casting mold; removing the wax and the foam by heat treating; forming cast part using a conventional process; and removing the ceramic material.
