Abstract (en)
The thermal printer has a print head (13) a motor roller (14) driving a flat object (30) under the print head. The motor roller, moves with respect to the print head, along a vertical axis so that the gap between it and the print head can vary as a function of the thickness of the object being printed. The print head is fixed at least in the vertical direction movement. The axis of rotation (141) of the motor roller is vertical to a line of heating elements (131) carried on the print head, bearings supporting the motor roller are coupled to a reset spring (16), the bearings are fixed to an introduction plate (15). The printer has means (17), for maintaining a predetermined gap between the motor roller and print head, which includes a stop fixed to the bearings or to the axis of the motor roller.
