Abstract (en)

[origin: EP1155986A2] The device has a rotatably driven feed roller (4) and a freely rotatable timing roller (6) above it, between which single incoming sheets can be acquired and transported with an existing sheet flow. The timing roller is raised and lowered in time with the machine's working cycle to enable arriving sheets to be inserted beneath the last sheet of the flow. Times of timing roller raising and/or lowering motions can be varied during a working cycle. The device has a rotatably driven feed roller (4) and a freely rotatable timing roller (6) above it, between which single incoming sheets can be acquired and transported with an already produced sheet flow, whereby the timing roller is raised and lowered in time with the working cycle of the machine to enable the incident sheet to be inserted beneath the last sheet of the existing flow. The time of the timing roller raising and/or lowering motion can be set variably during a working cycle.
